Khak-tastic

I’m in love with khaki and sweet prints. How darling are those polka dot heels?

Bring it on, Rain

Burberry Stud Rainboots

Wellingtons are not a pinnacle of style, but they are a necessary element of my footwear in Chicago. Now that weather is warming up a bit I’m having to think about the next season to come: Spring! Oh how I cannot wait for rain instead of snow.

Jeffrey Campbell "Vee" Rain Boots

An interesting take on the classic rain boot by Jeffrey Campbell. I envision wearing these with a pair of skinny jeans and a big warm comfy sweater. Casual Chic!

Burberry Studded Rain Boots

These Burberry wellies are just too sweet; I’d love to wear these beauties with a classic nude rain coat!

Vivienne Westwood Booties

Am I totally off my rocker or are these wonderfully unique? Vivienne Westwood created these lovely military style booties, which might I add, are recycled and vegan friendly. They look like doll shoes, I’d pair them with tights and a funky dress.

Jeffrey Campbell Marsha Rain Boots

These are a girl’s dream come true! They are simple, stylish, and will keep your feet dry. Most importantly, they don’t look like rain boots at all! Thanks Jeffrey Campbell!

Last but not least, my rain boots. I also like these because they are quite deceptive, you have to take two looks to see that they are wellies!

These boots were made for Jaywalking

Hello everyone, I have, like all of you, been busy with work and life. Thought I would give a quick update on one of my recent purchases. I found these boots at a little store near my house called United. I got them on sale and saved almost $100 bucks. Here is the boot brand’s website:  J SHOES. So far they boots have been absolutely vital to my winter survival. They are super tough looking boots but the delicate laces adds a touch of femininity. I can’t wait to find all the ways I can wear them this winter!

Who What Wear

I moved to Chicago in July from a place where seasons don’t exist (San Diego), so I am quite smitten about fall coming! A great article from Who What Wear summed up a few key items I’ll be wearing. Leather is key, cute flats, saucy lace-up heels and delicate bras are a must. I can’t wait!

Fabulously Fall

BCBG Spring
fall

Dress: BCBG, Jacket: Topshop, Booties: Fendi, Polish: Sally Hansen
No colors are ever off limits when it comes to seasons, you just need to know how to work it. Even though this BCBG Maxi dress was designed for Spring, it fits in perfectly for Fall when paired with a black leather jacket. Just slip on some knit stockings and booties and you’re money. Speaking of the green stuff, I just bought “Jumpin’ Jade” Insta-Dri by Sally Hansen and wow, this stuff is amazing. Love the color, but even more so, love the product. I’ll have to buy more soon!

Ciao bellas!

Spring Forward

Spring is just around the bend and pastels are hot right now! You can try mixing it up with pops of color using accessories and nail polish. But if you are feeling really bold, I say go for the monochromatic look. Whatever you do, just make sure you break out of the hum drum and drab that is brought on by winter!

Blue Crush

This Feather Knot Back Tunic can be thrown over a swim suit, a pair of skinny jeans or worn as a dress. Either way, it will look great with some white gladiator sandals and blue & white accessories.

Minty Fresh

If you are feeling ultra feminine, but would like to stay comfortable, wear this Ruffle Front Silk Top with a pair of wide leg jeans. Nothing will make you feel more like a lady than a beautiful bra and panty set; this one is from Oli.co.uk. My favorite piece is this gorgeous Swarovski Crystal, vintage style, cocktail ring for the affordable price of $86.

Cotton Candy

For a night out, paint the town pink for once! This sweet and sassy Oscar de la Renta dress will look too cute to boot with matching baby pink nails and a pair of neutral peep toe heels.

Orange Creamsicle

This monochromatic look would be my ideal outfit for going out to happy hour. These flat sandals look so comfortable and are absolutely adorable! So pair up those kicks with a ruffly top, a highwaisted skirt and these darling heart earrings and you should be ready to have a Creamsicle Martini at your favorite local spot.
